Things To Do
The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is a favored hotspot in town. Rent your equipment from this facility and get out on the water to enjoy it. They're open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. They even offer a variety of classes if you want to learn to sail, wakeboard, surf, stand-up paddle, windsurf, or even paddle boat.
Fiesta Island offers 27 miles of beaches. Water sports are popular here. There is also an included dog park and fire pits to use. Families will enjoy a visit to Belmont Park, a bustling amusement park that hosts an iconic wooden roller coaster with views of the ocean. Plenty of other rides and vintage games ensure the whole family stays entertained and amused.
Pacific Beachfest is one of the best San Diego events to attend in the area. It generally takes place in October and includes live music, a run, free activities, craft beer, and more.
And for those residents who enjoy expanding their culinary abilities, the popular Tuesday Farmers' Market in Pacific Beach is not to be missed. Several certified farm vendors are in attendance, as are many non-farm vendors that provide unique creations, from vegan cheese and fresh smoothies to specialty pizzas and arts and crafts.
